Eleventh International Conference on Computability and Complexity in Analysis:   LOCAL INFORMATION

Venue

Hosted by the Department of Mathematics, the conference will take place in building S2/07 of the Technische Universität Darmstadt, 2.5km east of Darmstadt Central Station.

Darmstadt is conveniently located 35km south of Frankfurt Central Station. Subway line S3 usually runs every half an hour, complemented by several daily local trains and occasional express trains (IC/EC+ICE, require special fare though). From both terminals of Frankfurt Airport the Airliner Shuttle Bus connects directly to Darmstadt central station every half an hour. (Its ticket is also valid for bus and tram connections within Darmstadt city.)

Darmstadt is the starting point of the famous Bergstrasse, a scenic ancient transport road past a series of mountains with castles on top, passing through Weinheim and Heidelberg. Places for sightseeing in Darmstadt include the Artists' Colony and a building designed by architect Hundertwasser.

Programme

The conference takes place from July 21 (Monday) to 24 (Thursday), 2014. A detailed schedule will be available soon.

On Wednesday afternoon we will enjoy a guided tour of Grube Messel, UNESCO world heritage site due to its vast collection of fossiles, followed by a vegetarian dinner served in TU Darmstadt's Georg-Christoph-Lichtenberg-Haus.
